They offer archery to groups as an activity - I just wonder how many people hit those targets and not the vines...

I wish we had citizen's advice bureaus in the US (the sign is even translated into Maiori)...

Very pretty views at the island

Always good to have a helicopter near at hand to avoid those crowds at the ferry

I thought these were funny in the ferry terminal - photos of several people banned from the island, kind of like trouble in paradise...

IMG_9035
Honey - lets put a big red palm tree on top of the hill next to our house, I think it'll brighten up the place

IMG_9040
Honey - lets put some stainless steel modern art on the hillside, I think it'll fit right in (or this was an unfinished project but I doubt it)

On the ferry leaving Waiheke Island - a quick 180 degree panoramic

Interesting tree leaf patterns

Back in Auckland time to go see the Auckland War Memorial (which is really just a normal museum) and Auckland Botanical Gardens located on the Auckland Domain a park on the site of a 100-150,000 year old volcano. Here a poor old woman gets in the middle of a performance art piece where the two people in white would SLOWLY take steps towards each other like a step every 3-5 minutes...we didn't stay to see what happened at the end, but I do wonder...

A couple getting wedding photos taken. In the 1860s the Auckland Acclimatisation Society established gardens here which are now the Auckland Botanical Gardens

IMG_9069
This was the winter hot house greenhouse, it was VERY humid/hot
