Features > Milwaukee, WI (July 2008) > 4th of July with Lisa & Joe at South Shore Park

What to do on the 4th of July in Milwaukee? Well, you could go down to Veterans Park right downtown at the lake with tens of thousands of other people right UNDER the fireworks - if you want to arrive 5 hours early. OR you could drive a bit further south to South Shore Park quite a bit later in the day and with much more space. We did the latter with our friends Lisa and Joe - what a fun time.

It's much darker than the exposure makes it seem, this is a flight coming in over the lake towards Milwaukee's General Mitchell Airport

I like how the tripod shake in this photo is in the shape of a question mark...what awaits Milwaukee?

The next evening I also got to see the display of Oconomowoc, Pewaukee, and some other nearby city since our condo looks out over most of those
