About Me >Who is Jay?

I was born in the great year of 1979 in Wichita, Kansas to Jude and Val Langhurst.
Unfortunately, they already had another child, named Andy (just kidding!)

3 of me I've been interested in photography since high school and computers since my parent's Apple IIe.

This was one of my first digital photography efforts, taken with my first digital camera, an Olympus D-200L. With a resolution of 640x480 and no zoom who could ask for more?

And they say human cloning isn't reliable!

Jay Langhurst Here's a photo from college that Fr. Don Doll, S.J. took for me in his studio at Creighton.
Spinning exposure Here I am later on using a longer shutter speed and a complicated contraption known as a spinning chair to blur out the background.

This was taken with either a Nikon 950 or 990

Creighton University - Skinner Mall I attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska from 1997 to 2001, graduating with a BSBA in Management Information Systems.

While there, I started the Creighton Webcam with a view of St. John's Church. I was a photographer for The Creightonian student newspaper.

I also upgraded to a Canon D30 then D60.

GE Healthcare - Waukesha, Wisconsin USA After school I entered the IMLP Program (Information Management Leadership Program) at GE Healthcare in Waukesha, Wisconsin (a suburb of Milwaukee.

After two years I graduated and have had roles in IT and Sourcing since then with opportunities to travel for work across Europe.

Miller Park - Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA Milwaukee is a nice place to live. Although a bit cold at times, the summers are nice and full of festivals, the people are pleasant, and Chicago is only 1.5 hours away. Here's a panoramic picture I took from inside Miller Park Baseball Stadium.

Jay & Daniel Commitment Ceremony I live in Pewaukee, Wisconsin with my partner Daniel. He and I met in early 2003 through a mutual friend from Creighton who was performing in a play with him. After two years I proposed in March 2005. Thankfully he accepted we had our commitment ceremony and reception on March 3, 2006.
